Native June first began to take shape when Vannucci and Streitel, both from Pennsylvania, hooked up in June 2005 in search of forming a band in LA. Native Junes sound is still heavily rooted in the low fidelity style developed in those early sessions (raw guitar riffs and a thumping back beat).

Next on board was Watson, a talented songwriter from Indiana with a raucous voice and wild guitar skills. After many months of auditioning bassists, Native June finally stumbled upon Hendy, a musician from Detroit with a punk rock background, who just so happened to live next door to Vannucci in the same West Hollywood apartment complex.

After several months of rehearsing in a run-down studio under the 405 freeway, Native June began playing shows all around Hollywood. Quickly catching the attention of promoters, club owners, and indie rock fans, The June quickly found themselves becoming regulars at hotspots like The Viper Room, Whisky-A-Go-Go, The House of Blues, Knitting Factory, Dragonfly, etc.

Soon after came their national television debut, when Native June was chosen to star in USA Networks, Before & After Noon Movie Makeover in March of 2006. They self-released their debut album, "Whiskey & Walnuts" in October, 2006. The band is currently recording a new EP in Hollywood and previewing new songs around SoCal.
